
The dispute between the governments of haryana and punjab over the water of Bhakra Canal continues. The Chief Ministers of both the states are making big statements for each other. In this sequence, haryana cm Naib Singh saini again surrounded the punjab government and said, "I have been saying continuously that there should be no politics over drinking water. We did not know that politics can go to such an extent that drinking water itself is questioned." Naib Singh saini reiterated, "It has been the tradition of our gurus and sages that if any person comes to the family, he is welcomed with a glass of water. The work is asked later."
'I am not asking for water for myself' - Naib Singh Saini
punjab cm Bhagwant Mann had described haryana Chief minister Naib Singh saini as a relative in a statement. He had said that as per tradition, he should not drink even a glass of water from his daughter's house, he is asking for a canal. In response to this, Nayab Singh saini said, "This is definitely a tradition, but when there is no water in the ground, that is the source of nature? We are not asking for this canal for one person. We are asking for this for the society, for the 2.80 crore people of Haryana."

Nayab Singh saini also said, "We are not making any additional demand, rather we are asking for the same amount of water that was given earlier. We did not know that there would be such a big politics over drinking water. The people of punjab are also understanding this and the people of haryana are also understanding this. This is unfortunate."

haryana cm Nayab Singh saini said, "The people of punjab have understood the kind of politics the leaders of punjab are doing. This is not a matter of politics. This is a matter of giving water to someone. This is an issue of working for the development of the country and the state. You should work for the people of Punjab. Make new policies and schemes, which will benefit the youth. Do not do such politics."
