US President donald trump has been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace prize for ending the 12-day war between israel and Iran. U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter has made the nomination, praising the trump administration as "extraordinary and historic." In the Israel-Iran war, the US destroyed three of Iran's key nuclear sites through air strikes, and in retaliation, iran attacked a US air base in qatar with missiles, but there were no casualties. To ease the tension, trump announced a complete ceasefire on monday night, which took effect early tuesday morning, ending the war between the two countries. Already pakistan also nominated trump for Nobel peace prize 2 days back.

In this context, US Congressman Patty Carter wrote to the Nobel Peace prize Committee, stating that "Trump's leadership has not only ended the Israel-Iran conflict but has also prevented iran, considered the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, from obtaining nuclear weapons." The letter has put trump as a leading candidate among the 338 nominees for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. Previously, US Congressman Darrell Issa had nominated trump for the Nobel prize for the global impact of Trump's 2024 election victory.
