Film is titled as 'Katamarayudu' after super hit song 'Katamarayuda' from his blockbuster film Attarintiki Daaredi. Incidentally the Pawan Kalyan himself sang the song.

Earlier Sharat Marar who is producing Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu directed by Dolly tweeted "On the eve of #PSPK @PawanKalyan's birthday Northstar Entertainment proudly announces the title of d film under production as 'Katamarayudu.' [sic]"
Pawan Kalyan is romancing Shruti Haasan in the film which is a powerful romantic story in the faction backdrop. Rumours are spreading that the film is the freemake of Tamil hit Veeram starring Ajith. Akula Shiva penned story for the film which wrapped up its first schedule. Film is about a faction leader who is heartbroken after his girl friend deserts him. Anup Rubens is the music director for the film.
Celebrities too started greeting Power Star Pawan kalyan. Pawan Kalyan couple of days back delighted fans and all his supporters showing his intent in strengthening his political party Jana Sena and make it a strong force before the 2019 elections by organising a huge rally in Tirupathi. Pawan promised his fans that he will continue acting thus rubbishing his earlier statement that he will quit films for politics.
