Venkatesh Meena starring Drushyam is doing well at promoting itself before release and hoping to have a grand success at box office as it did in Mollywood. But a Kannada star Ravichandaran said that he is the perfect choice for this story line, I frankly felt that no star from any industry who is remaking this film are not well suited for this role.
"It was offered to me first, and then did its rounds among other actors in the industry. But eventually, everyone else who was offered this role called and said that I was the right person for it. Yes, it does go against my onscreen image of a romantic hero, but so did Ramachari, which I did years ago. As an actor, it is important to be able to fit into any role — even that of the common man, as is the case with Drishya," he explains.
"With films like these, if I had not taken it up, someone else would have. So why should I give up on the opportunity to be a part of a good script? In fact, I used to work on remakes, but the industry once stopped me from doing them. However, today everybody in every industry is banking on remakes rather than listening to writers. These are their sure shot at success, even if the quality of the remake does not match up to its original. The ideal situation would be to ban any kind of remake," he points out.
