nagarjuna Akkineni is the only prominent tollywood actor who has taken the risk of releasing his production Bangarraju in theatres this Sankranthi. Despite the COVID threat looming in all parts of the country, the actor is optimistic about the film's success and explained why he chose a theatre release during the festive period. In a new conversation, nagarjuna discussed his courage in getting the film to the screen amid these trying circumstances.

"We were cocky, particularly me; I always thought this was a festival film, a pongal film, but there's a telugu viewership tradition that native rural films are very well received because everyone in their villages and home towns, and even city folks who travel to their home towns, watch the movie," the actor explained. "It has been a custom for as long as I can remember that for Sankranthi, the public must watch a film, not just one, but three films," nagarjuna remarked, hoping that his picture will be seen at least once in theatres.

"The business is approximately 400-450 crores just for the Sankranthi holiday," nagarjuna said, "and this is how the cinema industry has historically been." The official trailer will be released today, and the film will be released on january 14th.
