Following the success of the Baahubali franchise, the indian film industry began to focus on high-budget films with broad appeal. The fact that these films will be released in many languages will aid the producers in obtaining large box office receipts. These films also have the benefit of attracting audiences who speak a variety of languages. As a result of this trend, eight of the top twelve most pricey indian films will be released in the following two years.

All of these films feature larger-than-life characters, extensive CGI, and action sequences. Regardless of the stellar cast, the filmmakers are placing a large bet on CGI. RRR, Raadhe Shyaam, Aadipurush, Project K, Prithviraaj, Brahmaastra: Part One, Ponniyinn Selvan: Component One, and Suryaaputra Mahaavir Karnaa are among the next huge projects. A few others are in the works as well. All of these movies rely heavily on visual effects. In general, hollywood production firms such as Marvel Studios create high-level VFX-based film series, with the majority of them becoming box office blockbusters.

Now it appears that indian filmmakers are following suit, spending large sums of money on CGI-heavy films and attempting to create multi-part movie series. indian directors will have to guarantee a fantastic visual experience in theatres in order to compete with the growing OTT outlets. That is the only way of keeping the theatre industry afloat. All of these films will be released in theatres, and they are the ones that have the most potential to draw audiences in. We'll have to wait and see if this strategy works in the indian film business.
