Music composer and singer AR Rahman's daughter Khatija rahman is going to debut as a music composer with the upcoming tamil film Minmini. Till now she had proved her talent only through singing and now she is going to give a new twist to her career. director Halita Shamim has given this information through social media.
Sharing a picture of Khatija on Twitter, Halita Shamim wrote, "Extremely happy to have worked with this extraordinary talent, Khatija Rehman for Minmini, the melodious singer is also a fabulous music composer....some great music underway.".
Khatija revealed in her interview with the media that she was not clear about her becoming a music composer till last year. She said, 'Last year, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I was doing a lot of things along with singing at that time... I thought I still had a lot going for me. After this, there was another project, that too with a female director... So, I called Halitha ma'am and told her things have changed, and asked if she still wanted me.
Khatija further added, 'I played him my track after listening to which he said,' That's exactly my vibe... I like your voice... I like your thinking... So, I want to work with you. Karna chahti hoon… I think you can add value to the film… Khatija said that after that they decided to take it further on the project. Please tell me that the tamil film Minmini will be released later this year. The director of the film is Halitha known for her tamil film, Sillu Karupatti.
