Due to power outages at many places in chennai and its suburbs at night, people are losing their sleep.

Summer heat is burning all over tamil Nadu. Especially, chennai and its suburbs have been experiencing extreme heat for the past few days. On one side, the scorching summer is hot and on the other side, due to the Mocha storm, the humidity in the air has decreased, and the heat is scorching the people. In this case, there have been power outages in many places during the night in chennai and its suburbs for the past few days. Due to this, people are suffering from not being able to sleep peacefully at night.
In this regard, they said: Power outages occur frequently at night in the suburbs of Chennai's main areas such as Mylapore, Rayapetta, Tiruvallikeni, Velachery, Pallikaranai, Villivakkam, Madhavaram.

Already, we are suffering from the heat of the sun during the day. If you think you can sleep peacefully at night, you cannot sleep because of power outage. Frequent blackouts throughout the night disrupt sleep. Due to this, without sleep, the health is affected and the next day is not able to do the usual work. Especially, children, old people, sick people etc. are severely affected in the houses.

Contacting the electricity consumer service center of the power board after a power outage does not get immediate connection. Even after getting the connection and complaining, the electrical workers do not come and look at it immediately. They arrive several hours late and fix it. Therefore, they said that the power board should take steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply at night till the end of summer.

When asked about this, the electricity board officials said, "The daily electricity demand in chennai has increased now. Also, chennai is currently experiencing hotter than usual temperatures. Already, the transformers, wires etc. used for power distribution get hotter and damaged due to this heat.

At the same time... Also, AC is used in everyone's house at the same time during the night. Due to this, there is an extra load and the electrical equipment gets damaged. Thus, faulty electrical equipment is detected and replaced immediately.

"Also, employees have been engaged 24 hours a day to provide uninterrupted power supply at night and a committee has been formed to monitor wherever power failure occurs, and serious measures have been taken to prevent power failure," he said.
