Ministry of Food Processing Industries has planned to establish 17 food parks across the country with an investment of 3K crores. A deadline of 90 days is given for setting up of the parks to the states. Telangana bagged two food parks where as AP gets one. In, Andhra Pradesh, mega Food Park will establish in Agiripally in Krishna district. TDP MP and minister are fighting each other to establish Food Park at their interested places.
Kesineni Nani wants to set up the food park in A.Kondur mandal which comes in Tiruvur Assembly Segment. Minister Devineni Uma sees to establish Food Park in G. Kondur mandal that comes under his Mylavaram constituency. MP Kesineni Nani was hard to brought Food Park to Krishna district when Union Ministry announced Food Parks.
There is tug of war between Minister and MP earlier on many issues. Nani was outburst openly against Uma for not following protocol. Food Park has added other tangle between two leaders. But APIIC found enough land in Agiripally to establish Food Park. APIIC has its own reason for establishing Food Park in Agiripally. The selected place is nearer to both NH-5 and NH-9. There are many government lands available in Agiripally to start any project.
