Acting on certain information, officials of the Taluk Administration, police Department, Public Works Department, Land and Mine Science Department raided and recovered 1076 cubic meters, 12 lakhs. The value of illegal sand is estimated.

The incident took place on tuesday night in the border area of Devatkal outskirts of the taluk where the taluk administration and land and mining science department officials and police attacked the illegally collected sand dump and seized about 150 to 200 tippers of sand. Acting on certain information, officials of the Taluk Administration, police Department, Public Works Department, Land and Mine Science Department raided and recovered 1076 cubic meters, 12 lakhs. The value of illegal sand is estimated.


The attack took place under the leadership of Tehsildar vijayakumar and DySP Javed Inandar. Tehsildar K. spoke to Kannadaprabha about the attack. vijayakumar said that based on certain information, raids were conducted along with the sub tehsildar and revenue inspector of Kakkara and two village administrators. In Benakanalli survey number 70, Devatkal survey number 143 and 172, sand was stockpiled in the form of mounds. The land owner illegally collected sand by defrauding the government capital. A case will be registered against the land owner who has defrauded the government by not paying tax. He also said that it will be known only after the investigation how it was possible to collect so much sand.


DySP Javeed Inandara, cpi Anand Wagmode, PWD JEE and other land and mines officers were involved in the raid. A case has been registered in Hunsagi and Surpur police stations.
