Delhi's former deputy chief minister manish Sisodia has faced a backlash again in the cases related to Delhi's liquor scandal. The supreme court on monday dismissed his bail pleas in corruption and money laundering cases related to the delhi liquor scam. A bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Jaswin SVN Patti has given an interim verdict regarding the transfer of Rs 338 crore. That is why bail pleas are rejected. However, the supreme court said that the prosecution has promised to complete the investigation of the case in 6 to 8 months. Therefore, the bench said manish Sisodia has the right to file a bail application if the trial is sluggish or slow within three months. But manish Sisodia approached the supreme court after lower courts rejected his bail plea in the delhi liquor scam case.
However, earlier this month, the supreme court deferred its verdict on manish Sisodia's bail plea. manish Sisodia had sought bail in two separate cases related to the delhi liquor scam. It may be noted that one is the case of the Central Bureau of Investigation and the other is the case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
