This project will enable road transport in any season and any environment. The construction of this tunnel is in progress on the Brahmakal-Yamunotri National Highway. This tunnel is 4.5 km.

Emergency efforts were made to rescue 41 workers trapped in a tunnel in Uttarakhand. oxygen was supplied through tubes to the workers trapped in the tunnel. A camera was sent into the tunnel to communicate with and reassure these workers. After almost 9 days, the administration succeeded in giving khichdi for the first time. Medicines, orange and fruit juices were piped to the workers. Apart from this, the workers communicated through walkie talkies.

Indian army Assistance:

An auger drill used to reach workers broke down in the middle of digging a new recovery mine. So the only option is to cut out the drilling machine. So, as an alternative, the rescue team dug vertically into the mountain above the tunnel. A team of indian army Engineers was called in for manual drilling of the Silkyara Tunnel.

Digital mapping:

The indian army also assisted in the rescue operation. For this, 30 soldiers from the engineer Brigade were present at the spot. army personnel involved in the rescue operation have begun wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital mapping of the tunnel using drones. The work of laying a 80 meter diameter 10 meter pipe was stopped for the last 4 days to free up the workers. The drilling auger is stuck there because the machine has broken down. Only 48 meters were drilled. Instead, soldiers are doing vertical drilling up to 30 meters from the top of the mountain. But the work has been stopped due to water coming there too. Heavy

Like rats, a team of workers quickly excavated a small space to the rescue. They had hammers, spades and other traditional digging tools. A team of 6 miners with experience in similar work in delhi and ahmedabad is here. The miners said that two men would go into the pipe first, one would make a path ahead, and the other would load the ore into a trolley. Four people standing outside pull this radar trolley out of the tube with the help of a rope. 6 to 7 kg of ratroda is taken at a time. When those who had gone in to dig were tired, two men from outside would go in, and the former two would come out. And they dug one by one for the remaining 10 meters.

Workers trapped in the tunnel entered from the Silkyara side. 2340 meters section of the stuck tunnel has been completed. In this area, the road has collapsed on the mountain pass and the soil has collapsed for a distance of 200 meters. This road is 60 meters long. That means the platform is stuck at a distance of 260 meters. These workers have a distance of almost two kilometers to travel. 50 feet wide road and workers can travel in areas up to two kilometers.
