How did 41 workers get trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel? Know what happened 17 days ago and complete sequence of events.

The rescue operation (Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Operation) which has been going on for the last 17 days has been successful in the tunnel under construction at Silkyara in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.

What is the tunnel for?

30 km from the uttarakhand district headquarters, the construction of the tunnel is in progress. Sartham All Weather Sathak Silkyara is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government. These workers have a distance of almost two kilometers to travel. 50 feet wide road and workers can travel in areas up to two kilometers.
