BJP-Congress candidates trying to hit six!!!

Congress and bjp leaders have some things in common, that is, there is not much age difference between them. Both are seasoned veteran players of politics. 74 year old Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh is dreaming of winning the lok sabha elections for the sixth time, while raj babbar is also struggling to go to the lok sabha for the sixth time. raj babbar has previously won the rajya sabha election twice and lok sabha election thrice. To win the political battle of Gurugram, raj Babbar's daughter Juhi is camping here, while on the other hand, Rao Inderjit Singh's daughter Aarti Singh is campaigning vigorously in the elections.

23 candidates are competing

Overall, 23 candidates are vying for Gurugram seat which has 25 lakh voters. Voting for Gurugram lok sabha seat is on 25th May and the results will be declared on 4th May. Before that, all the parties including congress and bjp intensified their campaign in Gurugram. There is pressure on bjp to maintain political supremacy from here, while other parties are trying to break into BJP's fort and get their first victory after delimitation.

'Local vs External'

As soon as raj babbar entered the electoral fray, bjp has started raising the issue of 'local versus outsider'. Recently, while addressing a meeting of punjabi community at IFFCO Chowk, bjp candidate Rao Inderjit Singh said that congress wants to divide us, hence it has imported a punjabi candidate from outside. Apart from this, he is asking for votes by citing PM Modi's face and development works. On the contrary, congress candidate raj babbar is making local problems an election issue. He is engaged in wooing the voters through issues like water problem in Rao Inderjit Singh's home constituency Rewari, cleanliness in millennium city like Gurugram, drainage and transportation. His daughter Juhi Babbar is insisting on choosing Haryanvi blood in the elections.
