James Gunn already has additional plans for the Man of Steel in the DC Universe, even as Superman is set to hit theaters. As part of Gunn's DCU franchise, David Corenswet's Superman film is set to revive the DC icon after years of absence on the big screen.

At DC Studios, the DCU's Chapter 1: "Gods and Monsters" is already producing a number of movies and television shows, so many people are interested in Superman's post-2025 future.  For Corenswet's hero, things are only getting started, but the Man of Tomorrow will have a real beginning with the Superman movie.

In a recent interview with Omelete, Gunn revealed that when Corenswet asked him about his future projects, the DC Studios co-CEO said that Superman was undoubtedly involved.  The following tease was offered by Gunn:

James Gunn: He was asking me what I was working on....He knows that I'm working on something. He knows he's a part of it. He doesn't know what it is...literally nothing.

Peacemaker season 2, which premieres on HBO Max on august 21, is the next production Gunn has released in which he served as both a writer and a director.  Although it hasn't been verified, there have been rumors that Corenswet's Superman would make a brief appearance in Peacemaker season 2.
