June 5, 2020: First of all, on this date, the government of india promulgated three agricultural ordinances by publishing them in the gazette. These include the Farmer's Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, the Farmers' (Empowerment-Protection) Price Assurance and Agreement on Agricultural services Bill 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020.

September 14, 2020: As soon as the monsoon session of parliament begins, the government introduced all the three Agricultural Law Bills in parliament to make this ordinance a law.


September 17, 2020: All three bills were passed amid uproar in the Lok Sabha.


September 20, 2020: In rajya sabha also, all three bills were passed without a voice vote amidst uproar.


September 24, 2020: In punjab, farmers started a three-day rail roko movement.


September 25, 2020: Farmers across the country took to the streets under the banner of the All india Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee.


September 27, 2020: President ram nath kovind signed all three agriculture bills.


November 25, 2020: The farmers of punjab and haryana raised the slogan of 'Delhi Chalo' against the three agricultural laws. delhi police prevented farmers from entering delhi citing corona infection.




November 26, 2020: Farmers moving towards delhi faced heavy opposition from police forces in Ambala. Coldwater was showered on the farmers. Tear gas shells were fired at them. Later the police allowed him to travel to Delhi. Farmers came and stood on the borders of Delhi. Later, the police allowed the farmers to hold a peaceful protest at the Nirankari Ground.


November 28, 2020: Union home minister amit shah offered talks to the farmers and asked them to leave the delhi border and make a movement site in Burari. The farmers rejected his offer and sought permission to protest at Jantar Mantar.


December 03, 2020: The first round of talks between the representatives of the central government and farmers' organizations was held but failed.


December 05, 2020: For the second time talks between farmer organizations and Sarar failed.


December 08, 2020: Farmers call for Bharat Bandh. Farmers in other states also supported this bandh.


December 09, 2020: Farmers' organizations rejected the proposal of the central government to amend the agricultural laws and insisted on the demand for withdrawal of the law.


December 11, 2020: The Bharatiya Kisan Union approaches the supreme court against the three agricultural laws.


December 13, 2020: Union Law minister Ravi shankar Prasad alleges that the Tukde-Tukde gang is behind the farmers' movement. He said that the government has kept the door open for talks.


December 16, 2020: The supreme court said that the government can form a panel of representatives of farmers' organizations to end the impasse on controversial agricultural laws.


December 21, 2020: farmers went on a one-day hunger strike.

December 30, 2020: Sixth round of talks took place between farmer organizations and the government. The government also withdrew provisions for penal action against farmers for burning stubble and electricity amendment bills.


January 04, 2021: The seventh round of talks also remained inconclusive. Government's refusal to withdraw the law.


January 11, 2021: The supreme court criticized the steps taken by the central government in dealing with the farmers' movement. The court said that it is going to form a committee.


January 12, 2021: The supreme court constitutes a committee of four members and asked all the parties to recommend suggestions after talks.


January 26, 2021: Thousands of protesters clashed with the police in the national capital delhi on Republic Day. The miscreants hoisted the religious flag on the ramparts of the red Fort.
