What is the new study?

The study published in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings studied the daily eating habits of more than 400,000 adults. The methods of eating salt of all of them were also studied. In an average follow-up of 11.8 years, cases of type 2 diabetes have been seen in about 13 thousand people. Compared to those who ate less salt, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes was found to be 39 percent higher in those who always ate salt.
