In 'Mann Ki Baat' last Sunday, PM narendra modi discussed a person from maharashtra who deserves to be called a true warrior of the environment. His name is Chandrakishore Patil. Chandrakishore is not a new name for those who are active on social media. Even before this , his name has come in the discussion on social media.
Chandrakishore's efforts, which have been spreading awareness among the people for almost 5 years, are now paying off.
While talking to the media, Patil once said that he lives near the river. He has been noticing that every year the water becomes more dirty than before. Whether it is a common day or a festival, people throw all their garbage in the river itself.
Five years ago, he took the responsibility of stopping people from dirtying the river water. Since then, he started requesting people not to throw garbage in the river.
Chandrakishore says that he has been doing this work for more than five years and he will do it till his health is fine. He stands with a whistle on the bank of the river from morning till 11 pm. Whenever he sees someone coming here to throw garbage, he forbids them and makes them aware about it. Meanwhile, many people also misbehave with him, but despite this, Chandrakishore does not back down from his work.
Chandrakishore's way of making people aware of the water of the river is also unique. He fills the river water in bottles and asks people to take it. When people refuse to take the river water as dirty, he makes them aware about the serious pollution in the river.
IFS has praised
Even before being praised in Mann Ki Baat, Chandrakishore has taken the attention of social media. Earlier their story was shared by IFS officer Shweta Boddu. He shared the story of Chandrakishore and wrote that 'I have seen this person standing on the road all day with a whistle in his hand. They were stopping people from throwing plastic bags in the godavari river of Nashik.
