Priya anand has been calm and idle for a long time. None of her movies got a release for the past two years and she is quite active on social media. She is constantly active on her instagram profile and keeps her fans updated. She was anticipating the release of her long-pending movie 'Sumo' for more than 3 years. The movie which was likely to get a theatrical release is now going for a direct OTT release.

The movie also features yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh as part of the supporting cast. Hosimin has directed this project. He earlier directed 'February 14', 'Aayiram Vilakku' movies. He was an assistant to director Shankar. 


Mirchi shiva himself has written the screenplay for this movie and it was produced by Isari Ganesh. rajeev Menon has handled the cinematography. Nivas K prasanna also was part of the technical crew. The team shot lots of scenes in japan and it is the first movie about Sumos. Now, the movie is likely to get a direct release on amazon Prime Video. However, the exact release date of the movie is not yet revealed.
