Regarding the current dispute between dil raju and the makers of Veera simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya for Sankranthi theatres, telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) issued a press statement. Following accusations that dil raju had denied Waltair Veerayya and Veera simha Reddy access to many theatres for Vijay's varasudu, TFPC intervened. The Council continued by stating that it was determined during the ec meeting in 2017 that during Sankranthi and Dasara, straight films should take precedence over dubbed films.

The council also reminded dil raju of his earlier claim that petta wouldn't be shown in theatres in 2019 because "Dubbing Vs. Direct filmmaking" will win. After the council's stance and harsh criticism from all sides for his attitude, it will be interesting to watch if dil raju changes his mind. varasudu was initially marketed by dil raju as a bilingual movie, but he eventually changed it to dubbing in order to keep production going when the producers were on strike. That is being used as a weapon against varasudu and Dil

As the senior producer gets ready to release "Vaarasudu," starring Thalapathy Vijay, for Sankranthi, the telugu Film Producers Council is now reminding him of his earlier statement.
