Sisodia is accused of a scam in the name of a liquor policy
Delhi Excise Policy has been in discussion since last year when Lieutenant governor VK Saxena (LG VK Saxena) rejected the policy by saying that there is corruption in it. Since then the cbi is probing the matter and many businessmen and leaders have been arrested. On sunday, the cbi also arrested Delhi's deputy cm Manish Sisodia, who had expressed apprehension about this on sunday morning itself. The cbi alleges that Sisodia is also involved in this multi-crore scam. On Monday, Sisodia was handed over to the cbi on remand for questioning by the court for five days.
Kejriwal's relative and health minister Satyendar Jain is under ED custody
Health minister of delhi Government Satyendra Jain is also in jail. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team is probing money laundering against Jain, a relative of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Jain's property worth crores of rupees, lodged in Tihar Jail, has been confiscated. He is accused of earning by misusing the rights during the year 2015-16. His daughter Saumya Jain was made an advisor to the Mohalla Clinic scheme, which created a lot of hue and cry. cbi is investigating this. Jain was caught in controversies this year even after the video of him getting tickled in Tihar Jail.
