Reportedly Uttar Pradesh (UP) deputy chief minister Keshav prasad Maurya has reacted amidst the ongoing discussion
about One Nation, One election in the country. Keshav Maurya has said that when elections will be held everyday then when will there be development. When elections are held, the entire machinery of the
government is used, money is spent. This is a bold decision, I welcome this decision and congratulate Prime
Minister narendra modi on behalf of 25 crore people of UP.
Keshav Maurya further said that now one election in a country means elections from Gram Sabha to Lok
Sabha will be held once. Then after five years, when elections are to be held, what will be its policy, how it
will be made, how elections will be held, all this will be discussed in a special session of the lok sabha, but it
is a very bold decision taken in the interest of the country. During this, he also said that Prime Minister
Narendra Modi takes any decision in the interest of the country.
Modi government constituted a committee
Let us tell you that the Modi government at the Center has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of
former President Ramnath Kovind to explore the possibilities of 'one country, one election'. The move comes a
day after the Modi government called a special session of parliament from september 18 to 22. However, the
government has not declared the agenda of the special session of Parliament.
