Counting of by-elections took place today in Mau’s Ghosi assembly seat and in this election, Samajwadi Party
candidate sudhakar Singh won by more than 40,000 votes. sudhakar Singh was the joint candidate of India
Alliance. On the victory of the india Alliance candidate, Omprakash Rajbhar, president of NDA’s ally Suheldev
Bharatiya Samaj Party, said that the opposition used to blame EVMs when they lost elections, but today's result
itself shows that fair elections are held under the nda government. Omprakash Rajbhar said that he will review
the shortcomings left in this election and decide the future strategy. He said that after reviewing the strategy for the
2024 lok sabha elections, we will move forward.
The by-election in Ghosi was a litmus test for both Om Prakash Rajbhar and dara singh Chauhan. Although both
failed in this test, Rajbhar used to claim to decide the equation of victory and defeat on the seats of Purvanchal. In
this election, Rajbhar decided his entire strategy and got the elections fought on that strategy. OP Rajbhar's entire
party, including both his sons, looked very active in this election. In the Chief Minister's public meeting held in
Ghosi on september 2, most of the people were seen wearing Rajbhar caps, but in spite of all this the result did not
come in favor of NDA.
From the beginning of the by-election in Ghosi, the battle of outsider versus local was being seen. Apart from
being the second home district of dara singh Chauhan, people did not like his frequent change of party. On the
other hand, Sudhakar's being local was able to attract the votes of the public. A slogan was also used in Ghosi
during the election, “Dara dekhega aankhon se, sudhakar will win lakhs of rupees”. The meaning of all this is that
the people had made up their mind somewhere that whom they want to send to the assembly this time.
