Around 2.45 am on Thursday, two men were riding a 300CC sports bike when they crashed into the Adikment flyover's security wall and lost control of the vehicle, allegedly because of the stretch's poorly patched potholes. K. Yashwanth, a 31-year-old worker in the private sector, and his cousin G. sriram, a 23-year-old student, were travelling to Khairatabad to witness the immersion of the Ganesh idol, according to the police.Yashwanth was allegedly speeding, according to P. Anjaneyulu of the osmania university police station. They were travelling from uppal to Khairatabad through Tarnaka, Adikmet, and Nallakunta. According to a sub-inspector, sriram passed away on the route to the hospital while Yashwanth passed away immediately. Another policeman claimed that the rain-damaged road under the overpass had recently been rebuilt, and he assumed that the bike skidded when the rider used the brakes while travelling at over 130 kmph.
