Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) supremo mayawati has removed her nephew akash Anand from the post of National Coordinator of the party. mayawati, popularly known as 'Behanji' among the Dalit community, had entrusted this responsibility to akash while declaring him as her political successor, but she has made it clear that akash will not be her successor for the time being. However, she has retained the responsibility given to her brother and Akash's father anand Kumar in the party. Let us tell you that a few days before this decision, an FIR was registered against akash Anand for using abusive language during a rally in Sitapur, after which akash left all his rallies and went out of Uttar Pradesh fearing arrest. It is believed that this decision of mayawati is the result of this step of Akash.

Mayawati wrote, Akash's father anand Kumar will continue to fulfill his responsibilities in the party and the movement as before. The BSP leadership is not going to shy away from making every kind of sacrifice in the interest of the party and to take forward the caravan of baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar.
In the same sequence, along with promoting other people in the party, he declared Shri akash Anand as the National Coordinator and his successor, but in the larger interest of the party and the movement, he is being separated from both these important responsibilities till he attains full maturity.
Akash anand was fielded for the first time in the election campaign by BSP. Akash, who was completely independent of the election campaign, used unparliamentary language during a rally in Sitapur on 28 April. From the rally stage, akash had described the bjp government of Uttar Pradesh as a 'government of terrorists' and like the Taliban. After this, Uttar Pradesh police had registered an FIR against many BSP leaders including akash for violating the code of conduct under indian Penal Code sections 171c, 153b, 188, 502(2), and section 125 of RP Act.
Campaign programs were cancelled after FIR
After FIR was registered against akash Anand, the party had cancelled his campaign programs. Two of his rallies were cancelled. However, the reason given for this was 'illness of a family member'. At the same time, old leaders of BSP had said that the way akash is doing politics, he will not be able to stay with Behenji for long. These leaders had said that Behenji does aggressive style of politics against the opposition, but even in that she maintains a limit. akash has crossed this limit.
