
Mumbai's underground Metro Line 3 i.e. aqua Line, which was called the lifeline of the city and a state-of-the-art public transport system, has now become a cause of trouble for the passengers. Thousands of passengers traveling on this route are facing mobile network blackout every day.
During this time, there is no facility of call, internet, UPI and no facility to contact anyone in emergency. Raising this issue, akhil Anil Chitre, President of shiv sena (Uddhav balasaheb Thackeray)'s IT, Electronics and Communication Wing, has written a letter to the Managing director of mumbai Metro rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL).

He has asked the Metro administration that for how long will the patience of Mumbaikars be tested. The letter alleges that the monopoly of mobile network infrastructure has been given to a private contractor and other telecom companies have been kept out of the metro. The common passengers are bearing the brunt of this.
The main demands raised in the letter:
mobile network service should be restored immediately in all metro stations and tunnels.
Transparent information should be given on the status of ongoing talks with telecom operators.
Apologies should be made to the passengers for the inconvenience caused and assurances should be given that such a situation will not happen again in the future. akhil Chitre has warned that the city of mumbai runs on trust and accountability. If this trust is broken, then mumbai knows how to raise its voice. In view of this growing resentment of the passengers, there is now pressure on MMRCL to solve this problem as soon as possible and make the metro truly 'world-class', as promised.
