Leading wrestler sakshi Malik said that the central government has asked for time till june 15 to complete the police investigation against the president of the wrestling federation, Brij bhushan Singh, and we have been asked to postpone the protest until the investigation is completed.

Union sports minister anurag thakur posted on tuesday night that the "Government is ready to discuss the issue of women wrestlers. I invite them again to come for talks." Accepting this invitation, wrestler sakshi Malik and wrestler Bajrang Punia went to the minister's residence in delhi and held talks on Wednesday. It lasted for more than 5 hours.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Pankaj Punia said, "We discussed a few things. The minister assured that the police investigation on Brij bhushan will be completed by june 15. The minister asked us not to protest until the investigation is over. We want to withdraw all the cases registered against us. We made a request and the minister agreed to it. The government has promised that the investigation will be completed by june 15. Until then our protest is postponed. After the 15th, If no action is taken, our struggle will resume," he said.

After the meeting with the wrestlers, sports minister anurag thakur said, "I held a long discussion with the wrestlers for 6 hours. It has been assured that the investigation will be completed by june 15, after which the charge sheet will be filed. The elections for the wrestling federation will be held on june 30." He informed.

Earlier, the wrestlers met home minister amit shah last saturday night. The meeting took place for about 1 hour after 11 pm. sakshi Malik, Sangeeta Phogat, Satyavarth Ghadian and player Bajrang Punia met the home Minister. Following this, the sports minister invited the players to negotiate again. On the invitation of Union minister anurag thakur, female wrestlers met him and held talks. Then they put forward 5 conditions:

The election of the wrestling federation should be held transparently.
A woman should be elected as the president of the wrestling federation.
Incumbent Brij bhushan should take action against Charan Singh.
Brij bhushan Singh's family should not be included in the wrestling federation.
They should withdraw the cases registered against them after the protest on 28th.
They presented these 5 demands. In this situation, the minister has assured that the police investigation of Brij Bhushan, who is accused of sexual harassment, will be completed by june 15.
