In his early years, Rishna (Kiran Abbavaram) loses his mother. Because of this, their life and home are very empty. krishna wants to marry as soon as possible so that he can make their life better. He has preconceived notions about his marriage but encounters Saanvi (Chandini Chowdary), a modern-day, independent girl. How their love story develops is what the rest is all about.

In this movie, kiran Abbavaram, who made a name for himself in roles that required a lot of energy, played a quiet character. He does a passable portrayal as the character who thinks conventionally. There are no surprises, but there are also no fireworks. It's hit-or-miss with Chandini Chowdary. She excels in some areas while being weird in others. Their chemistry appeared strange as a result. The actress appears in a contemporary girl role, but it lacks the customary vigour and vivacity that we associate with such characters. The actress was unable to provide anything unique as a result. Writing errors also have a role in it.

Sammathame was both written and directed by Gopinath Reddy. "If you love someone, you should be able to forgive their shortcomings as well," is the familiar but sympathetic theme he chose. There are a lot of movies on this topic, but it's crucial to keep audiences engaged with compelling characters, top-notch entertainment, and catchy dialogue. The characterizations are incredibly ambiguous. The protagonist initially compromises on all of his expectations for his wife for no apparent reason. He starts overreacting to everything in the latter parts. The girl is a contemporary independent girl, but she becomes so obedient and obeys all the hero commands.

She does not have a good reason for falling in love with the hero, and the spectator does not identify with her doing all he asks. At one point, it seems as though the hero has no expectations; all we experience is a sense of dominance, and that too without justification. The end conflict justification also seems absurd. But the director concluded the narrative without using excessive theatrics. This results in a nice ending. The story in Sammathame is so shallow that it requires excellent execution to make its point. But the director's inexperience became apparent. This type of story is better suited for OTT or short films. You can't say it's a good movie or that you like it.
