According to rumours circulating in telangana political circles, Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, a rajya sabha member for the telangana Rashtra Samithi, is the nephew of telangana chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao and has been avoiding Pragati Bhavan, KCR's official residence, for the past few days. These sources claim that kcr has kept Santosh at arm's length and told him not to visit Pragati Bhavan. It appears that there have been significant disagreements among KCR's family regarding Santosh's expected role following the establishment of the national party by kcr after Dasara.

Santosh wants no part in telangana politics, according to KCR's son and state IT minister K T Rama Rao, but kcr wants to give Santosh a bigger role in the state. Another rumour is that kcr has learned of the potential cbi and ED raids on Santosh's associates in the suspected delhi liquor scam. Since Santosh has close ties to Pragati Bhavan, the raids will undoubtedly have an impact on kcr personally. Exactly for this reason, kcr has instructed Santosh to stay away from Pragati Bhavan at least until the ED inquiry is complete.

Santosh, on the other hand, has been an integral part of KCR's everyday life from morning to evening as he manages all of his uncle's personal issues. Santosh would always go to the farmhouse to tend to KCR's requirements, even when kcr travels there. He has participated in every conversation kcr has with a politician or official and is aware of every choice the government makes about policy. Members of KCR's own family believe Santosh made a significant amount of money as a result of his close relationship with the chief minister. It is therefore undoubtedly a significant development for the family and the party if the claims that kcr is keeping Santosh at bay are accurate.
