The Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation's ongoing construction of the Aramgarh and Zoo Park flyover is behind schedule, which is creating everyday traffic issues for commuters in the Old City region, particularly those who have to go elsewhere in Hyderabad. The ambitious srdp of the State government is constructing a bi-directional, six-lane flyover at an estimated cost of Rs 636.80 crore.

Drivers who commute to Aramgarh, Shamshabad, and Mailardevpally endure a torturous four-kilometer trip on the Aramgarh-Zoo Park road. The flyover is a component of the 2021–2023 strategic road development programme (SRDP) construction, which is expected to be completed by december 2023.

Having assessed the work completed thus far at the project site, it is now clear that the remaining tasks will probably take until the end of the year. After being dug up for the building of the flyover, the road has turned dusty. Potholes, trenches, and dust irritate people a lot. Even while riding their bikes, people fall on the road. We can only worry how many more years we have to put up with it, Mailardevpally resident Mohsin Khan bemoaned.

Because another bridge is being built there, the other route to access bandlaguda and Mailardevpally via the Uddamgadda railway gate is closed. people utilize the Tadbun and Aramgarh roads because they have no other choice. Additional options include the five-kilometer diversion via the Engine Bowli and Chandrayangutta routes, according to bandlaguda resident Sohail Khan.

Businesses are also impacted by the protracted construction on the Aramgarh-Zoo Park section, and residents have been complaining about losses. "Everything in the stores is dusted with dust. Considering the dusty environment, many are unwilling to stop and buy anything, according to Shaik Urooj, a resident of the Aramgarh area.

In ten days, crowds will gather to attend the congregational Eid prayers at the Mir Alam Eidgah. To at least reduce dust and offer visitors to the Eidgah with a comfortable experience, the locals are asking the ghmc to provide a bitumen-topped road.
