Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, during a haldi ceremony in Chopda taluka of Jalgaon district, the tragedy occurred. Jalgaon Superintendent of police Maheshwar reddy informed The indian Express that kiran Mangle, a former CRPF PSI, appeared at his daughter's husband's sister's haldi wedding and started shooting at his daughter Tripti and then his son-in-law avinash Wagh.
While the critically injured son-in-law was sent to a government hospital, the woman passed away immediately. After the shooting, there was a lot of noise, but the retired cop was grabbed by the Haldi ceremony attendees and beaten, according to the police. According to the police, he was admitted to the government hospital after suffering severe injuries in the incident.
According to the Jalgaon police, the couple lived in Pune's Kothrud neighborhood after getting married two years ago. They had traveled to Jalgaon to attend avinash Wagh's sister's haldi ceremony. Tripti and avinash had both arrived for the ceremony. Shirpur resident kiran Mangle arrived at the ceremony out of the blue and opened fire. He shot his son-in-law after first shooting his daughter. According to the authorities, Mangle had a licensed firearm and had retired from the CRPF.
While the male works as a worker, the woman completed her MBBS. According to the information we have obtained from the family members, the woman completed her MBBS and was working as an intern at a medical school. "Her husband worked as an employee," reddy stated. It doesn't appear that the murder was caused by a caste conflict. The pair appears to belong to the same caste. However, it appeared that class was the reason behind the opposition to their marriage. According to reddy, the retired officer was always against his daughter's marriage to the man, even though the woman had a high level of education and her husband had only completed class 12.
"We have not yet documented avinash Wagh's claims... He and kiran Mangle are both receiving treatment for severe injuries," reddy stated. After Tripti's mother-in-law filed a complaint, the police filed a murder case against Mangle.
