Despite being a tamil actor by trade, vijay sethupathi has a sizable fan base in other languages, particularly Telugu. telugu audiences welcomed him as one of their own even before he appeared in films that were exclusively Telugu. Here, many people enjoyed his roles in movies like Sye Raa and Uppena. He genuinely gained a devoted following that regarded him as a domestic celebrity.

Sethupathi featured in Maharaja, a telugu movie that had little excitement when it first came out last year.  However, it became extremely popular once it was released.  The movie became an enormous hit in theaters and on over-the-top platforms.  Sethupathi's reputation as a reliable performer was cemented by the triumph.

But it appears that the producers of his most recent movie, Ace, attempted to capitalize on that positive sentiment.  Ace debuted in theaters without any fanfare or promotion yesterday.  However, this one did not impress like Maharaja did.  The narrative is uninteresting, the story is uninteresting, and it is obvious that the movie is relying solely on Sethupathi's star power to succeed.  The film's predictable plot is presented in a flat, uninteresting manner by director Arumugakumar, who offers nothing new.

This type of lackluster content is the last thing viewers desire at a time when the telugu box office is already struggling.  Ace experienced low occupancy as a result, and several events were even canceled on the first day.  It received bad reviews everywhere it was released, and telugu reviewers mirrored this with unflattering ratings and critical assessments.
