Delhi Blast: Major Revelations from the Investigation
Terror Plan and Targets
The accused terrorists had planned to carry out a 26/11-style attack in delhi on december 6, the anniversary of the babri masjid demolition.
Their plan involved four groups, each consisting of two members, travelling to four cities carrying multiple IEDs.
Investigations revealed that Dr. Umar and his associates intended to cause massive destruction at major landmarks.
The four main targets in delhi included:
Red Fort
India Gate
Constitution Club
Gauri shankar Temple
Additional targets included railway stations and shopping malls across the country.

Procurement of Explosives
Large quantities of ammonium nitrate were procured to make IEDs.
The chemical fertilizer was purchased from Nuh in Mewat and surrounding areas.
The Special Cell recorded videos of fertilizer shops in Nuh and sent them to Jammu and kashmir police for identification by Dr. Muzammil.
The accused – Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Adil, Umar, and shaheen – collected around ₹20 lakh in cash.
They used ₹3 lakh to buy over 20 quintals of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers from Gurugram, Nuh, and nearby regions.
Vehicles Equipped with Explosives
The group planned to equip 32 old vehicles with explosives to carry out simultaneous blasts.
So far, two vehicles – a white hyundai i20 (used in the red Fort blast) and a red Ford EcoSport (found in Faridabad) – have been identified.
A third car, a maruti Brezza, is still missing and believed to have been used for reconnaissance or escape.
Multiple search operations are ongoing in Delhi-NCR and neighboring states to locate the missing vehicle.
