The kannada success "Love Mocktail" was remade into the tamil film "Gurthunda Seethakalam" (2020). Contrarily, the narrative lacks originality because telugu audiences have seen comparable plots and scenes in a wide range of movies. Even the purportedly "shocking" turn in tamannaah and satya Dev's love story falls flat on its face.

The casting of these characters is poor, and the tale itself lacks originality. The tale connecting satya dev and Kavya Shetty is lengthy and dull, and he is not the right actor to play a college student. These types of tales rely mostly on three elements: 1) the chemistry between the principal actors, 2) amazing music, and 3) novelty or amusement. We don't remark on or compare this to the kannada original film because we haven't watched it, but there are none in "Gurthunda Seethakalam." This merely invokes déjà vu as a telugu movie.

However, there are some amusing conversations and events. The second half of the film drags, and the pivotal scenes involving tamannaah and satya dev fall flat in terms of evoking the necessary emotion. Most of the movie is monotonous. This love narrative makes a valiant effort to keep our interest using tried-and-true sequences, but it hopelessly fails in a time when young love stories offer hip substance and fresh viewpoints.
