While Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" joined the 1,000 crore club, Bollywood's other movies, including the just-released "Shehzada," are struggling to become successful. hindi audiences have been unimpressed by remakes of south indian movies, particularly HIT, Jersey, and now Shehzada, although Drishyam 2 has shown that successful remakes of movies are possible. On that line, we must state that senior actors like ajay Devgan have recently had success with remakes, whilst newer superstars like shahid Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, and karthik Aryan have had failures.

Senior actors ajay Devgan and akshay kumar are now preparing to dazzle bollywood with remakes once more. This Friday, the bollywood version of the malayalam film Driving License, which akshay kumar reworked as "Selfie," will be released. Another is the film Kaithi, starring karthi and lokesh kanagaraj, which ajay Devgan is remaking as Bholaa under his own direction and is set to open in theatres in March. Ajay's movie is about a prisoner who gets the chance to save the police overnight, while Akshay's movie is all about the struggle for a driver's license.

And these movies stand a great chance of saving bollywood BO. With the exception of Bhool Bhualaiya 2 and Drishyam 2, bollywood did not have enough hits last year, and the industry needs a significant break this year. They have high hopes for the ranbir kapoor rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which will be released in march in addition to these two remakes.
