In what can be termed as a historic step towards the long aspirations of the people of rayalaseema, andhra pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for the supply of iron ore to kadapa Steel Plant. The MOU was signed this morning in tadepalli with NMDC director (commercial) Alok Kumar Mehta and ap High-Grade Steel Limited Chairman and Managing director P. Madhusudhan.

The chief minister had called the moment as historic. Meanwhile, the ap cm will inaugurate the kadapa steel plant soon and officials have started making arrangements for the purpose. andhra pradesh Reorganization Act mandates the central government to set up the steel plant but modi government escaped from the responsibility saying that it is not financially feasible.

YS jagan had decided to take up the project himself. It is known to our readers that kadapa is the native district of jagan and stood by him in thick and thin. Probably, the chief minister is paying back for his own people with this move. Late rajasekhara reddy also tried to set up a steel plant there but that did not happen due to various reasons.
