Minister Ma Subramanian stated that the corporation is eradicating mosquitos in chennai using 1,300 equipment and 3,400 field employees. The Corporation is taking a number of precautionary measures to protect the public from the effects of the rains in Chennai. As a result, the mosquito repellent smoke spray vehicle for immunization works during the rainy season.

He said, "On the instruction of tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, the Corporation is taking several precautionary measures to protect the public from the effects of the rains in Chennai. The Metropolitan Corporation of chennai has a total of 1,300 mosquito repellents, comprising 287 hand-operated smokers, 12 small hand-operated smokers, 167 insect repellents, 256 compressor sprayers, 479 battery-powered sprayers, and 68 vehicle-mounted smokers. A total of 3,400 company field staff are working on mosquito eradication.

These field workers spray mosquito repellent, abatement, smoking, and bleaching powder on rainwater collecting places throughout the organization. A total of 500 cleaners were purchased from nearby regions. Garden debris has gathered in numerous places in chennai as a result of the continuous heavy rains over the last four days. The garbage is being removed by corporation employees as part of a thorough cleaning program."
