LG VK Saxena assured the delhi congress delegation that I am also getting information in this regard, the
matter of probing the possibility of corruption behind fixing agricultural land acquisition rates will be taken up
with sensitivity. Apart from State President Chaudhary Anil Kumar, the delegation included uttarakhand state
in-charge and former mla Devendra Yadav, Chairman of delhi congress Communication Department and
former mla Anil Bhardwaj and former mla Vijay. Chaudhary Anil Kumar told the lg that the Delhi
government's proposal to increase the new circle rate of agricultural land is against the people of Delhi.
Because the circle rate of the proposed agricultural land has been kept differently in different districts, due to
which there is a lot of dissatisfaction among the farmers of Delhi. The circle rate of agricultural land should be
uniform, because earlier also the circle rates were uniform. But with a view to benefit the land mafia and a
special class, the delhi government has increased the circle rate of agricultural land by dividing it into the
category of green area village, urbanized village and rural village.
Demand for uniform 6 crore circle rate
The AAP government has decided the policy of increasing the agriculture land circle rate on issues related to
the interests of the farmers with political selfishness in mind. He said that while there is a proposal to fix 5
crore per acre in New delhi district, 2.25 crore per acre in east district. This is the first time that there is such
a huge difference in the circle rates. Rs 3 crore per acre has been kept in North and West delhi, Rs 2.25 crore
per acre in South east Delhi. He said that before this the circle rate of agricultural land in delhi was increased
7 times, which was kept the same. 4.65 lakh per acre in 1990, 10 lakh per acre in 1997, 11.20 lakh per acre in
1998 by Sheila Dixit government, 15.70 lakh per acre in 2001, 17.58 lakh per acre in 2005 and 53 lakh per
acre in 2007. The congress party demands that the circle rate on agricultural land should be Rs 6 crore per
acre and uniform throughout Delhi.
