Meanwhile the case came up for hearing yesterday (Thursday) before a bench comprising Acting Chief Justice manmohan and Justice mini Pushkarna of the delhi High Court. At that time, the court said that rahul Gandhi's speech was unacceptable and ordered the election commission of india to take action within eight weeks. At the same time, the court also observed that parliament cannot be instructed to make strict rules against such speech.
 
The election commission told the delhi High court that a notice was sent asking for an explanation of rahul Gandhi's speech on november 23, and the election Code of Conduct was in force at that time. During the hearing, the election commission informed the court that action has already been taken regarding rahul Gandhi's speech.
