The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is set to launch a new app, EPFO 3.0, aimed at modernizing and enhancing user experience. To develop and maintain this advanced IT system, EPFO has enlisted the country’s three largest IT companies: TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. The primary objective of EPFO 3.0 is to provide a more efficient and user-friendly service for millions of subscribers. Key features of the new app include:


1. auto Claim Settlement: Claims will be settled through an automated system, eliminating the need for manual processing and significantly speeding up the overall service.


2. Online Account Updates: Subscribers will no longer need to visit EPFO offices for account changes such as name or date of birth updates; these can now be done online from the comfort of their homes.


3. PF Withdrawal via ATM: Once a claim is approved, subscribers will have the convenience of withdrawing their provident fund money from ATMs, similar to regular bank transactions.


4. OTP Verification: The app will introduce an OTP (One-Time Password) verification process for account changes, enhancing security and streamlining confirmations.


5. Enhanced Pension Services: A centralized pension payment system (CPPS) will allow pensioners to withdraw their pension amounts from any bank branch across the country, simplifying access to funds.


With these advancements, EPFO 3.0 promises to deliver a faster, more efficient, and user-centric experience for all its subscribers.
