The bjp is expected to leave Andhra Pradesh's Upper house of the Legislative Council as there will be biennial elections in march and May of this year. Out of a total of 58 members, the bjp currently has two representatives in the house, one for the local bodies constituency and the other for the Graduates Constituency. Vakati Narayana Reddy, a tdp candidate who won the nellore local bodies constituency, joined the bjp when the tdp suspended him.

The bjp candidate for the Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam Graduates Constituency, PVN Madhav, won the election. Due to their retirements in march and May, the bjp will no longer have any representatives in the parliament. With these biennial elections, the TDP's support is likewise expected to drop to single digits. Several party members, including nara lokesh and B Tech Ravi, will be leaving the event. Additionally, the tdp will be giving up its eight MLC seats, which will be filled by the ruling congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress, which is well-represented in both urban and rural local bodies across all districts.

Both the ruling congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress and the opposition tdp are likely to treat the teacher and graduates constituencies elections seriously given that the 2024 general elections are still one year away. Three teacher and two graduate constituency elections will take place on march 13, with the results being tallied on march 16. Three of the five constituencies up for election on march 13 are currently held by the Progressive Democratic Front (PDF), which is a political party.
