The Injury Award for Hygiene Hospital has been given to 20 institutions in tamil Nadu. The 'Kayakalp' award is granted yearly to the country's cleanest hospital. As a result, the National health Project Committee visited district General Hospitals and Regional Hospitals across tamil Nadu to undertake a face-to-face examination. The research was then divided into eight categories: building maintenance, hygiene maintenance, medical waste disposal, disease control, and health education.

This study's findings are currently being published. As a result, a total of 20 hospitals in tamil Nadu have been chosen to get this honour. Manapparai district Government General Hospital received 92.86 percent of the vote, placing top in the state. The hospital received a central government Injury Certificate and a reward money of Rs. 50 lakhs as a result of this. With 91.86 percent, Erode district General Hospital is ranked second.

Aside from that, clean hospitals have been picked at Bellachi, Cuddalore, Padmanabhapuram, Tenkasi, Pennagaram, Kanchipuram, Mannargudi, Karaikudi, Seiyur, Kumbakonam, Mettur Dam, Kovilpatti, Periyakulam, Aranthangi, Walajapet, Kulithalai, Usilampatti, and Perambalur. A prize of Rs 3 lakh has been awarded to each hospital and based on the hygiene certificate the clean is given.
