Famous singer illegal farmhouse sealed...

The Gurugram administration on tuesday sealed the farmhouse of punjabi singer Daler Mehndi. The administration has sealed 3 farmhouses built near Damdama Lake in Sohna, Gurugram, one of which belongs to Daler Mehndi. A senior official of the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) told that these three farmhouses have been built illegally. All three have been built in the reservoir area of the lake (from where the availability of water remains in the lake).

Unauthorized construction

Gurugram district Town Planner (DTP) amit Madholia said these farmhouses were constructed illegally in the reservoir area of the lake. They were developed without any permission in the Aravalli range. They have been sealed due to illegal construction. However, amit did not say whether these farmhouses would be demolished or just fined.

Sealed on the orders of NGT

The demolition-cum-sealing drive against the three farmhouses was carried out with the help of the police force to comply with the order of the National Green Tribunal. Following this order, DTP Madholia, along with ATP sumit Malik, Dinesh Singh, Rohan and Shubham's team sealed the farmhouses. During this, Naib Tehsildar of Sohna Lachhiram was also present as Duty Magistrate. For this work, the team of Sadar Sohna police station was engaged along with the administrative team.

Daler's farmhouse is in an area of about 1.5 acres

According to a senior officer, one of these three farmhouses belongs to punjabi singer Daler Mehndi. This farmhouse is built on about 1.5 acres of land, where Daler keeps coming regularly.
