In response to the opposition's allegations regarding the passing of gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) stated on friday that the general public ought to be aware of their use of religious polarization. The Samajwadi party leader, akhilesh yadav, asked a supreme court justice to investigate Mukhtar Ansari's death today.

There are claims by Mukhtar Ansari's family that he was administered "slow poison". "It is the top priority and duty of the state to safeguard someone's life in all circumstances and at each place," akhilesh yadav said.

"The demise of a hostage or prisoner in any of the following circumstances will erode public confidence in the judicial process: whereas confined in the custody of the police, in a fight within the cell, on becoming sick within the prison, whilst being transferred to a medical facility, throughout medical care in hospital, through demonstrating an untrue encounter, by exhibiting an untrue suicide, by illustrating casualties in an accident -- all such instances of doubt should be probed under the supervision of a supreme court judge."
