Rajni, wife of Border Security Force (BSF) constable Purnam Kumar Shaw, who was released from Pakistan's custody on wednesday (May 14, 2025), has thanked the central government and BSF officials for his safe return. She said that when she saw him after 22 days, she could not recognize him.

He told me not to worry, he is fine and will call at 3 o'clock. When I saw him on a video call, I could not recognize him at first. He had a grown beard. I spoke to him (CM) 3-4 days ago, he told me not to worry and said that my husband will return this week. She was also talking to BSF officers. I got everyone's support, the whole country stood with me."

If PM Modi is there, then anything is possible.'

Thanking prime minister Narendra Modi, she said, "Everything is possible if PM Modi is there. When the pahalgam attack happened on 22nd April, he avenged everyone's husband within 15-20 days through Operation Sindoor. After 4-5 days, he brought back my 'husband'. That is why I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to him with folded hands."
