Due to their discontent with the current rental system, telugu film exhibitors had previously intended to close their theaters and demanded a percentage-based scheme akin to multiplexes.  However, it was stated that the concept was abandoned following consultations with several stakeholders.  Kandula Durgesh, the minister of cinematography and tourism for Andhra Pradesh, has now demanded a thorough examination of the exhibitors' revised decision.

The minister says there are major concerns about the proposal to close theaters on june 1st, only a few days before the much-anticipated movie hari Hara Veera Mallu is supposed to be released.  He has instructed Kumar Vishwajit, the chief secretary of the home Department, to look into the situation and find the people behind this action.

Four people are reportedly responsible for this last-minute decision to suspend activities, according to a statement from the janasena Party's official handle.  Minister Durgesh responded by emphasizing the necessity of prompt action and complete openness.

Additionally, he directed investigators to investigate if a cartel of distributors and exhibitors is influencing business decisions in a way that could negatively impact state revenue and movie releases.  The government also wants to know how many planned releases would be impacted and how the proposed shutdown might effect tax collections.

Next month is the premiere date of hari Hara Veera Mallu, and the administration seems eager to make sure the movie opens smoothly and successfully.  Pawan Kalyan encountered a number of difficulties when releasing his films during the previous administration.  Now, supporters are hoping that these challenges won't come up again.
