On Friday, assam cm Himanta Biswa Sarma told reporters in guwahati, "Aamir Khan wanted to come here and even spoke to me. But because this time the focus is on Independence Day and the whole tricolor initiative and its importance. So we didn't want the program to get affected. So I have requested them to postpone the program to come to Guwahati. Have asked them to come after Independence Day."

Himanta Biswa said that they often talk to each other on the phone, so Aamir will meet him whenever he invites him. Sources said that whenever aamir khan comes, chief minister will watch the film with Sarma too. aamir khan had recently donated to flood relief in the state, earning public praise from the chief minister.
