In a heartfelt gesture, actor Rishab Shetty, popularly known for his role in the movie Kantara, has adopted a government school in his hometown in southern Karnataka. The initiative taken through his Rishab Shetty Foundation aims towards saving kannada medium schools. On the occasion, the entire villagers were present at the event and congratulated the actor for his efforts, which indeed speaks volumes of his commitment to changing kannada medium schools. The same is also reflected in his films as well.
A Picture of the actor’s at the village event is going viral on the internet. Shetty can be seen interacting with the village leaders while also talking to the other villagers present at the program. The actor chose simple and traditional attire for the day, donning a plain black shirt with white lungi.
The Rishab Shetty Foundation was launched last year and as confirmed by the actor’s team, the actor has lent his support to the endangered school through the same. As per the reports, it was during the SDMC meeting on sunday when the actor announced his decision and elaborated that he would look after leveling the playground, building a compound wall, repainting the school building to assist the children by buying a school van, and deputing additional teachers. During this time, he also recalled that there were 400 children in the school when he was studying, however, there are 77 now.
