While talking on the Meri Saheli podcast, journalist Hanif Zaveri told the reason for Aishwarya Rai and salman khan did not get married. He revealed that the actress's family was not happy with this relationship. He said- 'Salman and aishwarya loved each other and were serious about each other. Both wanted their relationship to move forward.'
Aishwarya's parents were not happy with her relationship with Salman.
Hanif Zaveri further said- 'Salman's name was associated with other heroines like Somi ali and Sangeeta Bijlani. Who were already his girlfriends? That's why Aishwarya's parents were not so happy with Salman. They felt that salman was flirting with their daughter. And Salman wanted aishwarya to marry him soon and Aishwarya was at that stage at that time that she did not want to settle down after getting married. So because of this, there was a rift in their relationship.'

Hanif Zaveri told how salman khan once did something after which Aishwarya Rai herself backed out from him.
