The State administration has been tasked with addressing concerns relating to Community Forest Resource Rights (CFRR), Individual Forest Rights (IFR), and Community Forest Rights (CFR) that are now in effect in the State by Harsh Chouhan, Chairperson of the National Commission for scheduled tribes (NCST).

In a review meeting on ST-related issues held on friday at the Dr. Marri Channa reddy Human Resource Development Institute with Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari and all Heads of the Departments, Harsh Chouhan, Commission member Ananta Nayak, and Secretary Alka Tiwari called attention to a number of issues relating to tribal land, including evictions, the Dharni portal, land allocation to landless STs, and illegal plotting.

The Commission Chairperson requested that the State concentrate on the abuse of STs, the lack of medical professionals in tribal hamlets, and other medical infrastructure issues. He also requested that basic services like electricity, roads, and mobile coverage be made available in tribal regions. He requested that the State government take severe action against the officials issuing phoney Scheduled Tribe caste certificates, highlighting the need to look into issues connected to the pre-matriculation and post-matriculation scholarships of the st students.
