According to the supreme court judgment, the elected government has the power to control the officers and said that the government has all the powers.

Within a week of the verdict, on May 19, when the supreme court was on summer vacation, the bjp government issued an emergency ordinance at 10 p.m. The order was passed against the judgment of the supreme Court. This is the first time in the history of India. Against the verdict, the order has been passed giving the governor powers that were vested in the elected government.

Therefore, the currently elected government has no power to control the officers. It is against the constitution and against democracy. The Ordinance will be introduced in the Winter Session of Parliament. bjp has sufficient number of members in Lok Sabha. But the bjp has only 93 members in the rajya sabha out of total 238 members.

If all the non-BJP parties come together on this issue, we can defeat this ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. So, I met the chief minister of tamil Nadu seeking support for this. This law, brought against federalism, should be defeated in the Rajya Sabha. Thanks to the chief minister of tamil Nadu who said that the DMK will support the elected government of delhi when this law is brought in the Rajya Sabha. The DMK government has shouldered the people of delhi state.

For the past few weeks, I have been traveling across the country seeking the support of other parties other than the bjp with this demand. We are getting support from everyone. It gives me confidence every day. As I said earlier, this is the semi-final for the 2024 parliamentary elections. If this Central Government's Ordinance is defeated in the rajya sabha, a strong message will reach across the country.
